What is the Elcano Global Presence Index?

“The Elcano Global Presence Index is an analytical tool for international relations created by the Elcano Royal Institute, which calculates countries’ projection beyond their borders in the economic, military, and soft spheres (migration, sports, culture, science, climate change, development cooperation, etc.).”

The Global Ranking of the Elcano Index ranks and compares the level of presence among 150 countries, providing an objective view of each country’s position and projection on the global stage.
